Sicily Day Trip: Infiorata di Noto: 17 May 2025

Join us for a unique and vibrant experience at the Infiorata di Noto, a spectacular annual event held during the third weekend of May. Each year, the event features a different theme, showcasing intricate floral art on the streets of Noto. This year marks the 46th edition, with the theme being 'Peace makes Art'.

The artistic process begins on Friday and continues through the weekend, transforming the Baroque streets of Noto, particularly Via Nicolaci, into a stunning carpet of flower petals. Both local and international artists collaborate to bring this masterpiece to life.

PROGRAMME

4:00 a.m.: Meet at Malta International Airport for check-in and embarkation for our direct flight to Catania. We will travel on KM Malta Airlines flight KM640, departing at 6:00 a.m. and arriving in Catania at approximately 6:40 a.m.

Upon arrival, our private coach, which will be with us throughout the day, will take us to the centre of Catania. We will visit these attractions, among others:

• The Duomo, dedicated to St Agatha, the patron saint of Catania.

• The lively open market.

• Via Etnea, a bustling street lined with shops and cafes.

  
  

9:30 a.m.: Departure from Catania towards Noto.

10:30 a.m.Upon arrival in Noto, we will enter the town through the iconic Porta Reale and proceed to explore the Corso Vittorio Emanuele, which features:

• The Cathedral of San Nicolò, a stunning example of Baroque architecture.

• Santa Chiara Church.

• The Opera House and other Baroque landmarks.

  
  

Participants will have time to admire the Infiorata di Noto (entrance fee included) and enjoy the festive atmosphere, complete with stalls and live entertainment.

Lunch: Participants are invited to have lunch (not included) in one of the restaurants in the centre of Noto.

Afternoon Stop - Centro Commerciale Centro Sicilia: Our next stop is the popular Centro Sicilia, home to over 100 shops, including well-known brands such as Primark. There will be ample time for shopping and dining at one of the many restaurants within the centre.

9:00 p.m.: Return to Catania Airport for check-in and embarkation on KM Malta Airlines flight KM643, departing at 11:50 p.m. and arriving back in Malta early on Sunday, 18th May 2025.
